I have a weak spot for brick as material. Maybe it's because it's not used much where I come from. When I first went to London as a kid I thought all the houses looked amazing. This house is an interesting take on brick as material. Built in 2008 in Nanjing, China and designed by Chinese architect Zhang Lei. This low cost building (the result of local workers and local material) manages to create a connection with it's environment and an interesting atmosphere by utilizing a simple but still non traditional pattern.
